NeurologistCare is planning a statewide Florida telehealth service. It will not be limited to these metropolitan areas, and it will not create physical Florida offices. Florida appointments are not currently available.

Who We Expect to See
Once Florida telehealth becomes available, NeurologistCare plans to see Medicare patients and patients with commercial health insurance that includes out-of-network (OON) benefits.
Insurance coverage, eligibility, out-of-network benefits, and patient responsibility will depend on each individual's plan. NeurologistCare is not currently accepting Florida patients, and Florida Medicare participation and commercial insurance billing eligibility have not yet been confirmed.

Why Telehealth Neurology?
When clinically appropriate and once the Florida service becomes available, an online neurology consultation may allow a patient to discuss symptoms, medical history, medications, and prior test results without traveling a long distance. A family member or caregiver may also be able to participate when appropriate.
Telehealth is not suitable for every neurological concern. Some patients need an in-person neurological examination, emergency evaluation, or testing such as an EMG and nerve conduction study. Sudden symptoms that may indicate a stroke or TIA require emergency care rather than a telehealth visit.
