Brain Health

Brain Health Is More Than Medication

Diagnosis and treatment come first, but nutrition, movement, sleep, hearing and cardiovascular risk control shape how the brain ages and how well people function. They are discussed in every visit, not added as an afterthought.

Where lifestyle fits in neurological care

  • Memory concerns — blood pressure, sleep apnea, hearing, activity and diet pattern
  • Migraine — consistent sleep, regular meals, hydration and graded exercise
  • Neuropathy — glucose control, weight, alcohol reduction and foot care
  • Parkinson's disease — exercise as treatment, plus balance and fall prevention
  • Stroke prevention — blood pressure, lipids, diabetes and smoking cessation
  • Epilepsy — sleep consistency and alcohol moderation alongside medication

None of these measures is a guarantee, and none replaces evaluation of a new or worsening symptom. They are the part of the plan that patients control between visits. Learn more in our video guides, Can Dementia Be Prevented?, What Is a TIA?, and Depression and the Brain.
