Why a neurological evaluation matters after a work injury
Nerve injuries are frequently underestimated early on, when pain dominates the picture. Objective testing establishes whether nerve damage is present, how severe it is, and whether it is improving — which matters both for your treatment and for the accuracy of your record.

- Work-related injuries can lead to numbness, tingling, weakness, radiating pain, headache, dizziness, nerve injuries, carpal tunnel symptoms, and neck or back symptoms with nerve involvement.
- Do you see workers' compensation patients?
- Work-related and workers' compensation injuries are evaluated neurologically, with findings and testing documented in a written report. Coverage, claim decisions and legal questions are handled by your employer, insurer or attorney, not by this office.
- What testing may be used after a work injury?
- Depending on the injury, evaluation may include a neurological examination, EMG and nerve conduction studies, review of prior imaging, new imaging when appropriate, and cognitive assessment after a head injury.
- What should I bring to my appointment?
- Bring the date and description of the injury, any incident report, records from urgent care or occupational health, copies or reports of imaging already performed, a medication list, and any work restriction paperwork or claim contact information you have.
