Biomarkers are measurements that reflect the biological changes associated with Alzheimer's disease. They can add information when the diagnosis is uncertain, but they are only one part of an evaluation.

Important context
Biomarker results are interpreted alongside symptoms, examination findings, and cognitive testing. Testing is not appropriate for everyone, and results are meaningful only in clinical context.
Whether biomarker testing is appropriate for you is a decision made in the office after an evaluation.
